Walking Field Trips to Arboretum and Soccer Field
Scholars have enjoyed walking to the Arboretum, local soccer park and recreation field over the past four years. This helps our youth to know that the fun recreation is just around the corner. We can get there and be healthy getting there. Car's in some instances make it harder to get to places rather than just stepping into the adventure.

Light Rail Use To Lake Rolland Park
Scholars traveled on field trips to Lake Rolland using the Light Rail 2016-2018. Many had used the light rail before, and some had a first experience. We learned about rail safety and behavior. Using maps realized the many stations and large distance that can be achieved by using a transportation. The benefits of going together in mass makes sense to our scholars as "We always stick with a buddy, because it's safer." We hope this thought pattern will continue even after they grow to driving age. We adore them and always want them to stick with a buddy. Be safe and smart Mt. Washington scholars.
