FOURTH GRADE
Water Cycle Lesson
Our fourth grade teachers, Ms. Cates, Ms. Harvey, and Ms. Spicer had the students actively participate in a water cycle lesson on November 18, 2013. There are about 25 students in each class. The students created their version of water cycles using notes and vocabulary from classwork. Below are examples of some of the students work.
FIFTH GRADE
American Visionary Arts Museum
In June 2013, nearly 60 students in the 5th grade classes, 2 teachers, and a handful of parents attended a field trip to the American Visionary Arts Museum. Students toured the museum during the first hour and attended a recycled art project workshop for the second hour. Students made vehicles out of recycled materials. Students used their wildest imaginations from building cars with wings to suspended hoover boards. Keiyehn Gray, a 5th grade student quoted, "I learned that you can make one thing from another. There is more than one use for things."
